Newborn and Baby Portraiture

Newborn baby portraiture sessions can be in your own home or favourite location anywhere in South Australia.

We realize how special this time of life is for your family. We love to capture all the small things from tiny toes, little fingers, babies nursery to your little newborn with siblings, parents and grandparents. No memory will be left untold. From experience, our Newborn portrait sessions can last up to 3 hours. We allow a generous amount of time, because we understand that your newborn baby will need to be feed, settled, changed etc. Some babies sleep the whole way through, and some even scream the whole time too! Peta our photographer has the patience to wait to capture those truly priceless moments. Your newborn can be photographed in their favourite outfit, to the classic naked black and white portraits, we can customise your portrait shoot to your taste.

Our photographer provides relaxed, gentle, understanding, personalised, "On location portraiture" for your new little bundle of joy. From our "Newlife Studio look", "Newlife Family" or our "Newlife Classic Black & white" We have a style and a "Newlife Collection" that will suit your family, and how you would like to remember this very precious, fleeting moment in time. We highly recommend booking your session at least 2 - 4 months in advance of your due date. For the "Newborn" look, newborns are best photographed under 2 weeks of age and ideally before 9 days. But obviously we will photograph your baby at any age. It just will not fall under the "newborn" look! We require a minimum of 3 hours blocked out for posed sessions, and 1 hour for " Newlife lifestyle" sessions



Newborn and Baby Portrait session and print packages

All Professional newborn / baby portrait session packages include up to two hours of professional photography at a location of your choice. Changes of clothing, different backdrops etc. all included. We will mainly specialize in natural lighting. These sessions can include just your newborn, to family, and even grandparents.

A Pre-planning phone consultation so I can clearly understand what you are looking for in your portraits. Your portraits that we create with be with your family for generations.
Preparation of your images for viewing. Approx. 40-100 images will be carefully selected and retouched for your digital viewing.

Your portrait selection viewing will take place approx. 1-2 weeks after your babies shoot in the comfort of your own home. If you require a second portrait selection viewing, there will be an additional charge of $150. We highly recommend a babysitter for this occasion or perhaps bring a grandparent or friend. Because babies and Children do not last very long in these careful selection viewings.

Individual Portrait prints, packages, custom frames, Canvas portraits, digital designed coffee table books, and disc of images all available for additional cost.
